Sep 22, 2016 · Ranger 205dvs 225opti. A coworker and I were b.s.ing today and he was telling me he deleted the oil injection on his efi merc. I have an optimax and was just wondering if it were possible or even if it would work. Im not wanting to do this. I never heard of anyone deleting the injection system on an optimax. . A simple fuel pump rebuild would have solved the problem described. About $10 and you'd be off and running. I followed the fuel line to the T and seen the clearish oil tube running up, and one comming from the oil tank on the motor. The smaller one on the T was very brittle and cracking..
