The stock trigger pull of a 10/22 (at least the ones i tested) is like twice harder than the original Marlin 795 trigger pull. This with some tweeks can be reduced quickly without any problems. Ruger 10/22 and Marlin 795 are very different rifles.My first .22 was a Marlin 795. I had to send it back to the factory because the dovetail scope mount is cast as part of the receiver. The factory new one I bought from a big box store was canted left about 30 degrees! Marlin sent me a brand new replacement and it had the same problem, just to a lesser extent. You can virtually eliminate misfeeds and ejection issues by thorough cleaning and by polishing the moving parts; especially the bolt.
