It makes a clicking/buszzing sound when turning the key. The battery is good on the multimeter. An easy ignition test is to take a spark plug, old one will do, plug it in and lay it on the valve cover. Should make a solid blue spark when cranking. If you get spark it could be your timing belt. Rav4 struggles to start - Noone can solve. My 2007 Rav4 began starting very hard about 2 months ago. So it takes maybe 5-7 seconds to start, when during its whole life previously, it took barely over a second. I installed a tow hitch and wiring for the flat plug to the hitch. At first all was well, the flat plug for the hitch had juice coming through all four ports. I went to start the car and no go. Smart key works to unlock the car.Then try squeezing fuel-line while cranking the engine. Should notice a lot of difference. The turn signal may not be the problem, it may have just been enough added load to the dying battery, to shut off the electronics.
